Prevention and Protection > Fire Action Plan

Every year there are some 60,000 accidental fires that occur in the home.

Do you and your family know what to do in an emergency?

Are you capable of doing what you think is the right thing?

The trouble is, too many people have no idea what they will do if a fire breaks out in the home and just hope that it won’t happen. Don’t leave things to chance or until its too late. A fire action plan is the sensible precaution. It is only a simple matter of looking at the possible escape routes, taking sensible actions like fitting extra smoke alarms and making sure everyone knows what to do if the alarm sounds.

Take the first steps by filling in the on-line Home Fire Risk Assessment. It‘s a great place to start, and then take a look at our Fire Action Plan in the useful guide section. You will then be well on your way to making your home the safe place it should be.
