Rescue appliance fitted with 3 hydraulically operated booms and an operator’s cage capable of carrying up to 330Kg. The role of the appliance varies from aerial rescue to providing a water tower for fire fighting, or an observation platform for command and control purposes.
The appliances can reach up to 26 metres in height and can deliver up to 2270 litres of water per minute from a fire fighting monitor fitted to the operator’s cage.
The Hydraulic Platform operates with a crew of two.
The Norfolk Fire Service currently operates 1 hydraulic platform based at Great Yarmouth.
