                                         Training and Development Centre

Having recently undergone a major redevelopment project the "new" Training & Development Centre located at Bowthorpe has opened for use. Located at Bowthorpe Employment Estate on the outskirts of Norwich, our busy Training & Development Centre is responsible for delivering high quality and structured training to Norfolk Fire Service employees and other agencies. The Centre delivers almost 3000 training and development days each year ranging from Retained Induction training through to Fire Behaviour and Management Skills training.

The new complex consists of 3 lecture/ conference rooms, study areas, Breathing Apparatus training rooms, practical training rooms, briefing rooms and equipment servicing areas. In addition to this, the Centre has also increased kitchen and  welfare facilities. To complement this the outside areas consist of Training Tower, Road Traffic Collision (RTC) training areas, LGV training areas together with 2 three bay garages.

The courses which we are currently delivering as part of our training & development programme for fire service personnel are on the following pages:

      Operational Skills Courses
      Transport Training
      Advanced Operations Courses
      Other Training
