Driving Assessment The training will ensure that a driver is aware of the duties and rules which apply to the role. LGV Driving To enable students to develop existing driving skills and the technical knowledge in order to successfully pass the LGV driving test. Emergency Fire Appliance Driving This course is intended to prepare holders of LGV licences for the role of Emergency Fire Appliance Driver. Driving Instructor To develop the skills of the station/watch driving instructor to a level appropriate to that of a trainer for novice LGV drivers and to familiarise the instructors with any new characteristics of the vehicles and changes to Brigade or DSA policies. Emergency Response To improve the driving standards of officers, so as to enable them to implement dynamic risk assessment in relation to their driving style. Road Traffic Collision Instructor The aim of the course is to enable the individual to provide instruction to Norfolk Fire Service uniformed personnel to operate rescue equipment safely and perform techniques which are utilised at Road Traffic Collisons. Road Traffic Collision Instructor Refresher The aim of the course is to re-affirm the subject matter covered on the Road Traffic Collision Instructor course and also to provide additional training in Heavy Goods Vehicle, Side Restraint Systems and LPG powered vehicles. Road Traffic Collision Update To provide additional training in Heavy Goods Vehicles and Side Restraint Systems, Winching and the use of Air-bags. |
