In April Norfolk County Council's Cabinet formally approved for consultation Norfolk Fire and Rescue Authority's draft safety plan 2011/14. The draft plan contains a number of key recommendations and proposes a number of changes to the county's fire and rescue service.
The wide-ranging consultation, which began on Monday May 24, sought the views of the people of Norfolk, elected Members, fire and rescue staff, staff representative bodies, town and parish councils, partners and other key stakeholders. It officially closed on August 15.
We would like to thank the hundreds of you who took part, letting us know your views by e-mail, on-line, via questionnaire and by attending our public events. We value your views and appreciate your time.
A report on the consultation feedback is due before the county’s Fire and Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Panel on September 7 for discussion and comment. A final report will then go before Cabinet later in the year.
