The Government requires all local authorities to collect and report a range of performance data to enable customers to gauge how well they are delivering quality value for money services.  However, the Government no longer specifies which performance indicators should be collected and encourages Fire and Rescue Services to work with local communities to develop the indicators.  Therefore, the Service is identifying a new suite of local indicators to reflect local community priorities.
