Aerial ladder platform

The role of this appliance varies from aerial rescue to providing a water tower for fire fighting, or an observation platform for command and control purposes.

It can also provide a working platform up to 5m below ground level for rescues from rivers or trenches etc.The appliance consists of 2 hydraulically operated booms and a large rescue cage capable of carrying up to 400Kg. Attached to the booms is a large extending ladder, which can be used for multiple rescues.
One Aerial Ladder Platform is currently based at Norwich City Fire Station and has a crew of two. It can reach a height of 32 metres and has a maximum outreach of 23 metres.


The Other Aerial Ladder Platform is currently based at King's Lynn and has a crew of two.  It can reach a height of 27 metres and has a maxium outreach of 17 metres.


When in use as a water tower they can deliver up to 3800 litres of water per minute from its monitor.
