What type of self closing device should I use? |

Fire resisting doors that are required by your risk assessment to be self-closing should be fitted with a British Standard Institute approved device. Regular maintenance should be carried out to ensure the device closes the door fully, overcoming any latch resistance. If the self closing device is automatic, (ie; activated by the fire alarm) this action should be checked during routine fire alarm testing.
