The purpose of this appliance is to provide specialist rescue equipment and crews to an operational incident.
Equipment carried includes:
- Large quantities of hydraulic rescue equipment
- Pneumatic lifting unitsGas tight suits and decontamination showers
- Radiation monitoring devices
- Animal rescue equipment
- Electrical and manual winching units and a large variety of general rescue and safety equipment.
There are currently 2 Emergency Tenders in service with the Norfolk Fire Service. These are stationed at King's Lynn and Great Yarmouth.
