Fire Safety Adviser 
Based at Great Yarmouth
Salary range – Scale H £25,951 to £27,668
37 hours per week

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service is committed to making Norfolk safer.

An experienced Fire Safety Adviser is required to undertake audits in line with Service plans to discharge the Authority’s statutory duty under fire safety legislation and to provide fire safety advice and guidance to local authorities, businesses, commerce, the public and to professional and other regulatory bodies.

Experience of undertaking fire risk inspections of premises is essential, along with a working knowledge of fire safety legislation and its application in the workplace.  You should also be able to interpret detailed building plans, and make balanced, evidence-based judgements.

In addition you will need to be able to understand and apply legislation, codes of practice and regulatory standards and have good communication and IT skills.

Some ‘unsocial hours’ working may be required.
