If you need a school visit we target these at Year 2 for Key Stage 1, Year 5 for Key Stage 2 and Year 8 for Key Stage 3. If you have someone who is fire-setting and wish to discuss this with one of our advisors please contact us. We are sometimes also able to attend Community events but this will depend on resources, and we tend to target this to priority areas of our service. In 1995 the new station was handed over to the community after replacing the old station. A new Mercedes 1124 water tender replaced the old appliance. The station is set in a rural community.
The crew comprises of 1 watch manager, 2 crew managers, and 8 firefighters. On average we answer approximately 120 – 140 calls a year.
Our calls are a variety including rural fires, vehicle fires, backing up other surrounding stations and approximately 25% road traffic collisions.
